Frenkie, Kontra & Indigo
Bosnian trio Frenkie, Kontra & Indigo will cause a real avalanche with their mastery of rhyme and contagious beats at the Festival 84! Their album “Putanja” made them a household name in the region, and Frenkie’s explosive collaboration with Who See on “Daj ga na gas” just added to that. Soon after, the trio headed to Tokyo in order to record, mix and master their new album, “Egzil”, as well as record a video for “Đe će ko”, which now has a million views on YouTube.
Very positive reactions to the album come from the expert, imaginative lyrical capabilities of Frenkie and Kontra, as well as Indigo’s producer magic of creating a unifying feeling of the album through melodies or themes. One of the most important music critics in the region, Dubravko Jagatić, in his review of “Egzil” described the production as “superior” and “world-class”, and the lyrics as “bursts of phenomenal, powerful lines that describe the life on the Balkans just as it is.” Just how much freshness the boys of Bosnian FM JAM collective brought to the local rap scene can be seen in Indigo’s main inspiration, Nine Inch Nails, as well as soundtracks of “Sicario” and “Stranger Things”.
Without a doubt, their Balkan hip-hop sound with a tinge of the trap wave and the listed inspirations will blow the audiences away on Friday, March 16th!
